“Palestine is a moral litmus test for the world.” - Angela Davis*

As we pause this December to acknowledge the collective grief and trauma so many of us are experiencing, we wanted to share our January reading selection for those who want to begin engaging now. We know it is essential to maintain our focus on the genocide happening in Palestine—and we also know it is essential to understand the connections between the struggles against state violence that exist across the globe.
Freedom Is a Constant Struggle: Ferguson, Palestine, and the Foundations of a Movement by Angela Davis illuminates these connections across history and across the world in the way that only Angela Davis can. We invite you to read with us as we deepen our understanding of the global work we all must engage in as we continue our struggle toward liberation. In January, we will resume our regular postings and invite you to join us for a conversation at the end of the month that reflects on what we’ve learned and how we’ve grown.
Until then, we wish you rest and offer our sincere solidarity. We are grateful for each of you in this difficult time, and thank you for being part of our community.
